We also have a cool search toolbar for searching for playlists from your browser, searching the web and direct links to your favorite social networks.

How does GetPlaylists work?

When you sign up, we create a listing of your music library. That enables us to do what we call "Match & Move". We automatically Match a playlist to your music collection and move the playlist to your media player. IT works like this:

  • you can download a playlist
  • we automatically match it to your music collection
  • we notify you of the songs you own and those that you don't
  • you can purchase songs (MP3s) that you don't already own at our online music store -- you can listen to a 30 second sample before you buy
  • the new music goes to you music library and the playlist goes to your media player and is ready for syncing to your device
  • AUTOMATICALLY!! with the click of a mouse!

Who started GetPlaylists?

Complete Playlists was formed by a group of technologists and music fans to solve a problem that was bothering us. The problem was that you could not use any of our iTunes playlists on a SanDisk or a Blackberry, or our iTunes playlists in Windows Media Player, or any playlists from one PC on a second one. Playlists were simply not interoperable. This matters because playlists are used in digital music for syncing music between MP3 players and playing music in MP3 players. You need to be able to reuse playlists you have and to get new playlists from your friends and elsewhere.
