What do you do with the credit card information that I provide when purchasing music through your online music store?

Our store is powered by MediaNet, and they process your credit card information in accordance with their Privacy Policy. They power many other online music stores, and have been managing ecommerce securely since 2005.

How does GetPlaylists work?

When you sign up, we create a listing of your music library. That enables us to do what we call "Match & Move". We automatically Match a playlist to your music collection and move the playlist to your media player. IT works like this:

• you can download a playlist
• we automatically match it to your music collection
• we notify you of the songs you own and those that you don't
• you can purchase songs (MP3s) that you don't already own at our online music store -- you can listen to a 30 second sample before you buy
• the new music goes to you music library and the playlist goes to your media player and is ready for syncing to your device
• AUTOMATICALLY!! with the click of a mouse!

Do you plan to support ratings and recommendations for songs?

GetPlaylists is focused on automated playlist downloading, sharing and use. We may develop a song rating system in the future.

Can I create a Journal or a blog or write about my favorite songs or playlists?

Yes using standard blog applications. GetPlaylists does not have this feature.

How do I send a playlist via email?

Use the send a playlist via an email link from Get Playlists or copy the email link from the Share Playlist box.

How do I add my friends to the "My Friends" section on my profile or invite people to join GetPlaylists?

To add someone to your friends' list, first go to their GetPlaylists' profile and then click on the "Follow" button.

If you do not already know where your friend's profile is on GetPlaylists, you can search for them at http://getplaylists.com/user. You can search by name or email address.

How are recommended playlists determined?

Based on your preferences, your playlists, the genres that you like and the music that you like, we try to match your interests to playlists that we think you might like.

Why did a search toolbar get downloaded with the application?

The toolbar is a necessary part of the application and enables you to search for playlists from anywhere on the web, any time you have a browser open. It has great functionality in also linking you to your favorite social networks, and, importantly for us, enables you to search the web. GetPlaylists is a free service, and we have to support ourselves somehow, and we make a little bit of money when you search using our toolbar. So, your searches are much appreciated.

I'm a musician (or record label), how can I promote my music on GetPlaylists and GetPlaylists on Facebook?

You can include your music in playlist(s) that you share with GetPlaylists' users. If the users like your playlist(s) and music and it is available for purchase through our store, users will be able to purchase the music. Our music supplier is MediaNet Digital and you can supply your music to them with TuneCore.

Can I use GetPlaylists on Bebo? Can I combine my getplaylists.com profile and my Bebo profile?
