How do I rate a playlist?

You can click on the "rate this playlist" button when viewing a playlist. Click the star you want to rate the playlists. Rate it 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 stars.


Does the Toolbar use Google for search results?

Yes, the results are provided by Google along with Yahoo, MSN and Ask. The results are actually the best of Google, Yahoo, MSN and Ask provided by InfoSpace's metasearch product.


What is Malware?

Malware, short for malicious software, is software designed to infiltrate or damage a computer system without the owner's informed consent. The expression is a general term used by computer professionals to mean a variety of forms of hostile, intrusive, or annoying software or program code. These are often described as computer viruses, worms, or Trojan horses. GetPlaylists' software does not damage the operating system. With GetPlaylists, there is no Malware!

How do I sign out/ log off from the getplaylists' website?

There is a sign-out link in the upper right corner of you getplaylists' page. If you click on that, you'll be signed out.

What is DRM?

Digital rights management (DRM) is a generic term that refers to access control technologies that can be used by hardware manufacturers, publishers, copyright holders and individuals to try to impose limitations on the usage of digital content and devices. Some music services sell their music with DRM which prohibits people from using their music wherever they chose. The term is used to describe any technology which inhibits uses (legitimate or otherwise) of digital content that were not desired or foreseen by the content provider. It can also refer to restrictions associated with specific instances of digital works or devices. OUR SONGS ARE ALL MP3s AND DO NOT HAVE DRM!!


Who developed the playlists on getplaylists.com?

Many were developed by our in-house experts. Many are user generated -- playlists that users have created and shared on getplaylists.com. Our users rate the playlists on getplaylists.com. We also have deep information on the playlists of our users. This information helps us understand what music people are listening to and is crucial in helping us develop recommended playlists for our users.


Can I find concert information about my favorite artists on GetPlaylists?

This feature is not currently available, but we plan to have this available in a future release.


Does a playlist have to have a minimum number of songs?

A playlist needs to have at least 2 songs to be considered a playlist. Otherwise, it's just a song.


What are the minimum OS and browser requirements for using GetPlaylists?

  • The GetPlaylists' website has been tested to work on Internet Explorer version 7.0 or later, Mac OS/X Safari version 4.0 or later, and Mozilla Firefox. If you need an update, please click here for installation locations. Other browsers may display the website properly, but we haven't tested all of them.
  • Using the GetPlaylists' website also requires use of Adobe's Flash Player plugin, and we recommend using the latest version. Please click here for the installation location.
  • Other browser users: There are many browsers that may or may not work with the GetPlaylists' website, but we have only tested with Internet Explorer, Safari, Chrome, and Firefox.
  • If you want to use the GetPlaylists' applications, you need Windows XP, Vista, 7 or Mac OS/X Leopard or newer.
